A little about Reed:

Reed spent the majority of his life on Cinnibar Island with his parents and younger sister, Juliette (5). His mother swears that he was born of the ocean, as he spent most of his time in it as a child and his hair is a greenish-blue color unlike his sister's lovely blond (Reed blames the salt in the water for his odd coloration).

He never much enjoyed the carefree island lifestyle and he blames the local mineral water and hot springs for his 'baby faced' looks. He finally left the tourist trap around the age of 14 with his trusty companion Eevee. Eevee was soon evolved into Flaroen after leaving the island because of Reed's case of homesickness. The flames remind him of the steam coming out of the local volcano.

After waking up to the smell of the ocean for 14+ years, Reed now becomes violently ill if he sees, hears, smells, or has anything to do with any body of water bigger than a puddle. This explains where there are no water types in his team and does his best to avoid trainers with a majority of water types.

(I'm sure the whole salt thing isn't true but it makes him more interesting) XD

Pokemon

Ampharos - Captured as a Mareep before they reached Olivine City in Jhoto. Reed hightailed it out of there before the smell of the ocean became too strong. Ampharos is his favorite pokemon to train.

Gengar - Caught as a Ghastly soon after Reed left the island somewhere in . No ones is too sure what gender it is so Reed just call it a 'he'. Gengar enjoys scaring the pants off his fellow companions but can never seem to do it which makes him depressed for a couple seconds...

Sandslash - Sandslash lives for the battle and will usually wander off to go train alone. As long as he comes back, Reed doesn't have much of a problem with that. Sandslash also has a huge crush on Ampharos. He was captured somewhere on the outskirts of Sootopolis City in Joto...

Flareon - Reed's first Pokemon given to him as a child. Flareon is pretty much a clueless derp but that's ok since Reed generally keeps him out of the battle arena if at all possible....

Ivysaur - Caught somewhere in Viridian City while she was causing trouble at the local flower shops. She has a crush on Reed and hates it that Flareon is the 'favorite' so Ivysaur trains hard hoping that Reed will notice her...

Pachirisu - ...Reed isn't sure when or where he found this thing...it just kinda started following him. A little hyperactive idiot, Pachirisu is usually running around shocking stuff and eventually discharges too much energy and passes out. Reed used to try and stop him before this happened but ended up giving up. Pachirisu is believed to run into a few walls in his lifetime...
